One Year

My precious angel. Today marks one year since you went to be with the Lord. It has been so hard to go on without you and at times I did not think that I would survive. I still miss you so much and still so long to be with you. You were my everything.

Just one little peek into heaven,
Is all I'm asking for today.
I just want to know how Michele is doing,
And heaven seems so far away.

Is Michele playing on the clouds with angels?
Is she laughing and running today?
Does Michele miss me? I guess only she knows.
Oh why does heaven seem so far away?

If you just let me look for a moment,
To catch a glimpse of her smiling face,
I promise I won't try take her,
I know she's in a better place.
